“I am happy to be here with Scheibe Racing,” Barberá commented. “I will try to give my best. I am hungry for victories, and this is a great opportunity for me.”

Scheibe said, “We’re fortunate to be able to sign Héctor to our team. He’s ridden a lot of different bikes in a lot of different race series, and I’m confident that he will help us move our program further forward. Also, we’re excited to bring him to America and have him compete for us in the MotoAmerica Series.”

A highly experienced rider, 34-year-old Barberá has raced in MotoGP, World Superbike, World Supersport, British Superbike, and now, he will add the MotoAmerica series to his very impressive resume. Barberá was twice vice World Champion in 125cc and 250cc Grand Prix, and 10th in the 2016 MotoGP Championship, with five factory riders behind him in the standings. His World Championship career netted him 10 race wins, 32 podiums, 9 pole positions, and 10 fastest race laps.
