Off Track With Carruthers And Bice Podcast: Kayla Yaakov

A close third in the 2022 MotoAmerica SportbikeGear.com Junior Cup Championship with four victories and 11 total podium finishes out of 18 races, Kayla Yaakov had quite the season. But it turns out the 15-year-old wasn’t done yet. A few weeks after the lights went out on a MotoAmerica season that saw her just eight points short of winning the championship, Yaakov was on a plane and headed to Portugal where she competed in the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European SuperFinale at Portimao. Competed actually isn’t strong enough. Yaakov was a star of the show, finishing fourth in race one, second in race two and third overall against the best of the best in the 25-rider strong Yamaha-spec series race that was held in conjunction with the World Superbike Championship round in Portugal. It’s been since April when we last spoke with Yaakov on Off Track With Carruthers And Bice. At the time she was 14 years old and yet to win a MotoAmerica race. All that has changed, and we had lots to talk about with Yaakov on this week’s episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.
