Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Updated for 2026
The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sport have been updated with fresh colours and new graphics for 2026.
The CRF1100L Africa Twin is the more off-road-biased variant, although sharing the frame and engine with the Adventure Sport. The 1,084cc parallel-twin-cylinder engine with a 90-degree crank which produces 110.6 hp (75kW) and 112.0 Nm of torque.
The CRF1100L Africa Twin has two options, one with the standard Showa suspension, and the other is called the CRF1100L Africa Twin with Electronic Suspension. The latter features Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (Showa EERA), which offers optimised damping for all riding conditions, plus the ability to change rear spring preload while moving. That makes it an active suspension.
In terms of rider aids, there are three-level Wheelie Control, Cornering ABS (includes an off-road setting), Rear Lift Control, and DCT cornering detection. It also benefits from four default riding modes which are Urban, Tour, Gravel and Off-Road.
As for the road-biased CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sport, it lists all of the same features of the off-road-biased variant.
The adventure variant was first equipped with Honda’s DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) since 2022, before seeing a major update to the chassis in 2024.
The Africa Twin Adventure Sport is now available in a new Matt Iridium Gray Metallic colours, which also features a revised frame colour and graphic set. It is also available in Pearl Glare White, which again gets its own revised frame colour and Tricolour graphic.
The standard Africa Twin model has three new colour options, including Grand Prix Red, Matt Ballistic Black Metallic, and Pearl Glare White. All three options come with a revised frame colour and graphic set. The new Pearl Glare White also comes with gold wheels. Both models are available with, or without DCT.
Honda has not released the price of the 2026 version.
