Gerloff Top Eight In Both Races On Sunday In Czech Republic

GRT Yamaha’s Garrett Gerloff was sixth and eighth in today’s Superpole race and race two of the Czech round of the World Superbike Championship at the Most circuit.

In the morning Superpole race, Gerloff was sixth after coming out on top of a battle with Kawasaki’s Alex Lowes and Motocorsa Racing’s Axel Bassani, the Texan beating Lowes by .846 of a second while coming up just .612 of a second from fifth-placed Tom Sykes on the factory BMW M 1000 RR.

The Superpole race was won by Pata Yamaha’s Toprak Razgatlioglu over Aruba.it Racing Ducati’s Scott Redding and Kawasaki’s Jonathan Rea. Pata Yamaha’s Andrea Locatelli was fourth.

In Sunday’s race two, Gerloff again started slowly from the second row of the grid but fought his way to the back of a pack fighting for fifth. That spot went to Aruba.it Ducati’s Michael Ruben Rinaldi with Gerloff eighth and just .771 of a second from Rinaldi in fifth.

Race two was won by Redding over Razgatlioglu and Rea. Locatelli was again fourth.
