A Kiwi In Thailand Gets Set To Race In MotoAmerica
Pedersen aboard his Kawasaki Ninja 400 in Thailand’s 400cc SP-J class.
Round six of the 2021 MotoAmerica Championship at Brainerd International Raceway on July 31 through August 2 will have another new rider on the SportbikeTrackGear.com Junior Cup grid. Seventeen-year-old Axel Pedersen will make his U.S. debut as a rider for the Calishine Racing Team alongside teammates Aden Thao and Owen Williams, and he’ll be aboard the number 66 Calishine Racing Kawasaki Ninja 400.
Pedersen, who was born in New Zealand but lives in Thailand, started racing motorcycles in January 2020 and is currently competing in Thailand’s 400cc SP-J class on a Kawasaki Ninja 400, as well as in BRIC Superbikes, R2M, and the Kawasaki Thailand Road Racing Championships.
A student at Bangkok Patana School, Pedersen is currently working toward his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
